good luck, make sure you ask for a copy of your images up front. You own them but they won’ t likely give them to you unless you ask. What are you expecting to find?

That sucks! ACL tear/all kinds of injuries like that are my nightmare and I feel like they’re as inevitable as taxes! What happened?

OW. Sorry to hear it. Hope they take care of you and the recovery is expedient.

I had a repair on this shoulder a few years ago. The doc thinks from the X-ray that I may have had a reaction to the bio-absorbable anchors used to reattach my labrum as they dissolved , leading to a rough bone surface causing irritation, but wanted an MRI for a better look. Of course I have no idea what that means if that’s what’s going on, I think there’s soft tissue on top of that, so I don’t think they can just go in and sand it down or something. I guess we’ll see what he says when I see him after the MRI.

Godspeed. My brother completely tore his ACL six or so years ago. He chose to just rehab rather than surgery. He’s been pretty good, but every once in a while his knee pops out of socket.

My uncle told a similar tale. He did both his knees and finished his day skiing for both, but it kept bothering him on athletic stuff so he opted for surgery. I know i am the type that wont be happy without being restored to as much activity as possible.

Damn, good luck and a speedy recovery to you.
None of us are as young as we use to be.

add in some glub glub noises at the end and you’d pretty much have it dead on.

Bummer. Good luck with the surgery!

Oof. Sorry to hear that. That used to me an area of expertise for me, but I'm over a decade removed and probably unfamiliar with the state of the art. What's the repair strategy? Cadaver or contralateral hamstring?

But will you be ready for training camp??
But really, that sucks. Here's hoping you have a quick recovery!

That does suck. Time enough to do your homework on docs and hospitals. Though acl is routine these days. Good luck

Wanna come to western Colorado? We’ve got openings this week.
Seriously , the choice of graft material, your hamstring or patella tendon vs. cadaver tendon, makes a difference in recovery time and some surgeons try to push you into what they are more familiar with, not what might be best.

I’ll have to research it.
